Hi kids!
Let's introduce ourselves, shall we?
I live in Westminster CA, 15 mins from Anaheim & 15 mins from Long Beach.
Val & I know each other from so cal Ghoulie shows.
Actually Kepi introduced us on Vals birthday last November!
Things I love: Music, vintage stuff, Day of the Dead (the holiday), things that are kitschy & campy, riding my bicycle, a good taco and Midori Sours!
Who's next?
;)

Re: Hi, my name is...
Wed, May 5, 2004 - 8:37 PMWell, since I am the moderator and all ... I live in San Bruno, CA (near SF) and first discovered the Ghoulies back in '97. Seen them about 20+ times since then - no one puts on a better live show. One time my friend Bob wanted to go see Rush or Yes or some band like that, and my response was, "for the price of that show I could see the Groovie Ghoulies ELEVEN TIMES!" That says it all.
Oh, and Kat was able to get me a set list once. Thanks again Kat!
I collect GG posters, too.
And some day I hope to settle down and marry a girl just like Roach.
Looking forward to the show this Sunday at Bottom of the Hill! -

Wed, May 5, 2004 - 10:29 PMI too, think I got into the Ghoulies in '97 when I was a Senior in high school. I think I first caught them opening up for MTX.
Well, I did meet you at a Ghoulies show Carl and I hoped you framed that setlist. -

Re: Hi, my name is...
Thu, May 6, 2004 - 3:45 PMthe ghoulies are indeed the bestest band in the whole world!
Carl, you would be a lucky guy to find a gal like Roach!
i am envious that you'll go to the BOTH show.
i can't whine too much, though.
the Ghoulies will be in my hood in a few weeks and it'll be a party!
i've listen to the Ghoulies for awhile, but my first Ghoulies show was Dec 20, 2002 (or the 21st?) at the Knitting Factory.
i haven't missed them in the LA area since then! -

Re: Hi, my name is...
Mon, July 12, 2004 - 6:33 PMWhat city was that show in cause I remember seeing them in SF at slims. pansy Division and the Ghoulies opened up for MTX in 97.
I rmember that show vividly cause that was where my lil' VW bug was boxed in and I was stranded there after the show until Pansy division lads came out and pulled a mentos commercial on my car and lifted it and moved it onto the street for me and gave me loads of stickers heh.
